We believe that how we spend our money shapes our world. Like most Alaskans, we feel very isolated from access to quality products, furniture, and quite a lot of goods. The outrageous shipping whammy's we get hit with make conscious purchasing a challenge. We also believe in supporting artisans and small businesses to stimulate the economy and encourage creative expression. It is with those beliefs that a criteria for sourcing was born.
Our thoughtfully sourced criteria varies greatly and will serve to support at minimum one of the following values:

Local Made
Local is PRIORITY! If you live and create here on the lush Dena'ina lands, we would be delighted to have your offerings in the store! Shopping and supporting local is crucial to our economy!

Artisan Made
This category encompasses local artists, handmade artists worldwide and celebrates the maker! We will have a wide offering that changes often to share the love and introduce new artisans we find!

Social Good
We are committed to sharing goods and practices that impact the wellbeing of many.

We are passionate about products made without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents.

Small Business
Small is good! This includes small batch, privately owned and intentionally focused makers! We want and LOVE you!

USA Made
Although we source worldwide we place priority on scouting closer to home. This is to support a smaller footprint on carbon emissions getting things here and to stimulate the economy closer to home.

We are in support of cherishing heritage, culture and respecting native roots. Businesses owned by a member of a minority are welcome here!

Ethical and Fair Trade Working Conditions
A special selection of goods will be brought up from places that won't ship here. We strive to offer goods at various price points and are committed to, at the very least, research that the companies provide ethical and fair working conditions. We have been deep diving into databases and researching as much as possible and would love your feedback. If you know of any resources for auditing a brand, we would love your help! We are also sourcing new but discontinued lines to give dead stock brands or lines new life. This offers us Alaskans some, often inaccessible, cool stuff at more affordable rates!
